EIZO Highlights at the IBC

Press release

EIZO is presenting the new ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 HDR reference monitor at IBC in Amsterdam, as well as new features and functions for the professional post-production in the film and television industry.

ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1

When IBC opens its doors on September 13, visitors will have the first opportunity to see for themselves the outstanding features of EIZO's brand new ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 30.5" HDR reference monitor.

With a maximum brightness of 1000 nits, a maximum contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels (DCI-4K), the professional reference monitor retains the established display characteristics and extreme precision of its predecessors. Thanks to the new algorithm developed by EIZO, the image quality has been visibly improved once again.

Seamless integration into professional production environments

The ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 supports the SMPTE ST 2110 standard, allowing the monitor to be seamlessly integrated into IP-based production environments.
On the other hand, the HDMI interface has also undergone a significant upgrade: The PROMINENCE CG1 is the first ColorEdge monitor to support the Fixed Rate Link (FRL) technology of the latest HDMI specification. This makes it possible, for example, to transmit uncompressed 12-bit 4K film data via HDMI.

Availability

The ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1 is expected to be available from early 2025. Exact availability may vary by country or region.

What else to see

EIZO will also be presenting its entire line-up of professional graphics monitors for editing video content. In addition, visitors can have numerous functions and software features demonstrated by EIZO experts:

API for ColorNavigator and ColorNavigator Network

The API interface allows software developers and system administrators to integrate functions of the ColorNavigator calibration software into third-party applications. This allows certain monitor management functions to be carried out without users having to operate ColorNavigator in a separate window.

This year, EIZO is extending the functions of the API interface to the decentralized administration solution ColorNavigator Network. The functions include, for example, recording the monitor status, control commands for monitor settings or asset management.

Pixel Inspection

To check that every link in the color management chain is set correctly, EIZO offers the "Pixel Inspection" function. With this function, creative professionals in post-production and animation studios can check whether the color management settings of their workstation are correct and whether a correct image display is guaranteed.

The international EIZO team is looking forward to welcoming visitors to IBC on stand B.23 in hall 7.

See you at IBC 2024!
