The ColorNavigator software is used to simply and accurately calibrate ColorEdge screens.
ColorNavigator Network enables centralized quality assurance for ColorEdge monitors.
Test the properties and parametres of your monitor quickly and easily with software developed in-house at EIZO.
Quick Color Match simplifies the colour management workflow for home inkjet printing.
Yes, this is possible with an open and closed notebook through the monitor's power delivery function. To do this, deactivate the USB-C power supply of the notebook in idle mode in the Admininstrator menu of the monitor.
Compatibility Mode ON = Power supply active in idle mode
Compatiblitly Mode OFF = Power supply only when switched on
To start the notebook with the monitor switched on, please activate the function "Power On with AC attach" in its BIOS/UEFI.
Depending on the computer, the function name may be slightly different.
The EIZO ColorNavigator software can be used to calibrate and profile ColorEdge-LCD monitor hardware. IMPORTANT: Please do not use an alternative calibration software, which may not be able to use the hardware function of ColorEdge LCD monitors.
To keep your monitor looking like new at all times and to prolong the service life of your device, we recommend cleaning it regularly. Clean the casing and LCD surface as described below:
IMPORTANT: Never use thinner, benzene, alcohol (ethanol, methanol or isopropyl alcohol), scouring agents or other strong solvents as these may damage the casing and the LCD display.
Casing
Remove marks by wiping the casing with a soft cloth, which you have previously moistened with a mild cleaning agent. Never spray wax or cleaning agents directly on to the casing. (The manual contains exact details.)
LCD display
Where necessary, the monitor surface may be cleaned using a soft cloth (for example a cotton cloth or glasses cloth). Stubborn marks can generally be removed by wetting the cloth with a bit of water to increase the cleaning strength.
EIZO offers different versions of the ColorNavigator software. They are compatible with Windows or Mac operating systems.
Details about the supported operating systems can be found here.
During the calibration by the user, the desired white point and gamma curve are transferred to the gray scale through a combination of measurements and calculations. This process is typical at EIZO as it saves time and is more precise than the measurements of several tone values with conventional manual measuring devices, which are prone to errors. The accuracy of the factory calibration with sensitive laboratory measuring equipment serves as a secure foundation in this regard.
Homogeneous luminance distribution and good color purity are key to achieving very accurate image rendering. The Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) circuit takes care of this. It automatically corrects non-uniformities in terms of luminance and chrominance for all tone values across the entire image area – pixel by pixel.
When it comes to color accuracy when working, how well a monitor can differentiate between color tones is of fundamental importance. To achieve the maximum color depth and prevent the formation of stripes, banding, and washing, EIZO relies on the ultimate perfection: a 16 bit look-up table (LUT) ensures precise color resolution, meaning that even the finest structures in darker areas of the image are reproduced so that they are absolutely accurate in every detail.
In connection with a frame rate control (FRC) of the LCD modules, CG monitors allow for 10 bit color resolution, depending on the module. Screens can therefore display even the finest tone value gradations using a billion colors. This requires corresponding 10 bit support by the application software and graphics card.
EIZO monitors support DisplayPort Alternate Mode with their USB-C interface. This means they can correctly display image signals from Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 ports via USB-C connection. The USB-C signal cable supplied by EIZO with the monitor has the optimal suitability.
Alternatively, monitors with a DisplayPort socket can be connected using a suitable cable. The CP200 signal cable (USB-C (TB3/TB4) to DisplayPort) provided by EIZO is the most suitable.
A connection from Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 ports to the HDMI interface of the monitor can work with suitable active adapters/cables. However, we recommend using the USB-C or DisplayPort interface of the monitor.
EIZO provides up to a five-year warranty, although some devices have a different warranty period. You can find out the exact warranty periods for each product either in the warranty terms and conditions above, in the datasheet, or on the EIZO international website. The long warranty periods are made possible by a highly developed manufacturing process based on a simple principle of success: sophisticated and innovative monitor technology, manufactured from high-end materials. For you, the 5-year warranty means a high level of investment security and savings on follow-up costs (total cost of ownership), which would be incurred without warranty service, for example, for maintenance and repairs.
