EIZO ColorEdge CG2400S

Press release

EIZO introduces new 24" high-end graphics monitor

With its wide color gamut, enormous contrast ratio of 1800:1, state-of-the-art USB-C connectivity and pre-installed HDR presets, the 24.1-inch monitor proves to be the ideal tool for creative applications of all kinds.

For the first time in the ColorEdge series, the housing of the CG2400S is made from recycled plastic to reduce resource consumption and environmental impact.

Ultimate contrasts

The CG2400S meets the diverse requirements of creative professionals in the fields of photography, video editing, design and printing. With a maximum contrast ratio of 1800:1, the highest in the ColorEdge CG series, the monitor produces particularly deep blacks. This allows depths to be reproduced in rich detail and true to life. It is also equipped with an additional True Black filter, which compensates for color distortions caused by optical shifts. This means that color tones retain their depth even when viewed at an angle.

Perfect colors and maximum precision

The Wide Gamut IPS panel of the CG2400S with 10-bit color depth and 16-bit 3D Look-Up-Table (LUT) offers perfect precision, smooth color transitions and nuances. The Adobe RGB color space is covered to 99 % and the DCI-P3 color space to 98 %.

The EIZO-exclusive homogeneity correction Digital Uniformity Equalizer ensures precise and homogeneous brightness and color display across the entire screen.

The CG2400S is equipped with EIZO's award-winning integrated sensor technology and proprietary ColorNavigator 7 color management software, which allows users to effortlessly calibrate the monitor automatically at specific times.

Equipped for HDR post-production

The monitor comes with presets for HLG and the PQ gamma curves for displaying and editing HDR video content. The new model therefore fits perfectly into an HDR production workflow, at the end of which is an HDR reference monitor such as the new ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1.

Universal connectivity

A single cable is used to transmit the image signal via USB-C and to power the monitor's USB hub. It can also be used to supply a mobile device with up to 70 watts of charging current. In combination with the integrated USB hub, the CG2400S becomes the central dock for creative workflows with a flick of the wrist. Of course, an HDMI and DisplayPort connection are also on board.

Focus on the environment

As part of the company's sustainability efforts, the CG2400S is the first monitor in the ColorEdge series to have a housing made from recycled plastic. The monitor housing is made from over 85 % recycled plastic. For the packaging of the monitor, EIZO says goodbye to plastic and polystyrene.  Instead, the monitor is securely packaged with molded cellulose made from recycled cardboard and newspaper. The included cables are wrapped in paper instead of plastic bags.
