With the RadiForce RX270, the Japanese manufacturer EIZO introduces a new colour monitor for radiological reporting. The RX270 meets the highest demands in radiological image reproduction with 2 megapixels.

Monochrome images are reliably displayed by the monitor using DICOM-GSDF luminance characteristics. Such images typically require a high level of brightness and contrast to clearly see fine details. The RX270 offers a high maximum brightness of 1000 cd/m² on its 21.3" screen diagonal and has a contrast ratio of 1800:1. It therefore surpasses even typical monochrome monitors with the same resolution and enables the precise display of even very deep grey tones. It also reproduces colour images with optimal luminance thanks to its Hybrid Gamma PXL function. Using the recommended brightness of 500 cd/m² for daily operation ensures a long life of the monitor. At the same time, the built-in calibration sensor maintains the display characteristics and keeps the image reproduction consistent. This makes the monitor ideal for displaying colour images from endoscopy, ultrasound and nuclear medicine, as well as monochrome images from CT, MRI and X-ray.

Using the recommended brightness of 500 cd/m² for daily use and selectively increasing it to maximum brightness when needed ensures a long monitor life. The RX270's instant backlight booster function can be used to temporarily increase the monitor's brightness to see details more quickly. The brightness automatically returns to the original setting after a short time.

EIZO is committed to being a leader in responsible business and manufacturing processes. This also includes environmental protection. The RadiForce RX270 is made from approximately 16% recycled plastic. This reduces the amount of plastic waste entering the environment, which conserves resources. In addition, EIZO eliminates the use of plastic and Styrofoam in its packaging to reduce environmental impact. The RX270 is securely packaged with recycled pulp and cardboard and the cables are wrapped in paper instead of plastic bags.
