Non-destructive testing
Components and systems that are constantly subject to extreme pressure must be tested at an early stage for overloading and material defects. Non-destructive material testing procedures such as radiography are carried out for this purpose.
Industrial quality control
Perfect image reproduction of X-rays
Radiography has now become a very common NDT (non-destructive testing) application for industrial quality control. It is used in diverse areas such as pipeline construction, aviation and rail transport. High image quality standards – in some cases even higher than for diagnostics in human medicine – are needed to visualise the smallest hairline cracks in metals.
It therefore comes as no surprise that only the best radiological monitors are used for these tests. EIZO RadiForce monitors are often the logical choice. They feature RadiCS, EIZO’s own calibration software, which enables genuine hardware calibration according to DICOM®. Their optimal luminance characteristic curve corresponds to the reproduction curve of the DICONDE standard in the NDT segment.
The advantages of RadiForce monitors for non-destructive testing
- Reliable image reproduction using the DICOM® GSDF DICONDE luminance characteristic curve
- A selection of different monitors to meet various requirements, resulting in high cost efficiency
- Durability
- Increased efficiency
